I’m glad I took several photos of this historic old motel about 25 years ago because it’s being demolished now. I took a drive to Vero Beach on the East Coast of Florida recently and to my surprise it was being demolished. It’s a shame that the state didn’t try to restore it. It’s rumoured that Burt Reynolds used to spend nights there and that it’s haunted. Anyway, I wanted to paint this homage to a very interesting motel and restaurant.
